  1. Definately for me please Geoffers - Couldn't manage without.
  2. Hmmm...looks like we've got a right mish-mash between us. Think I'll get them to "sort it" at my next service. Thank guys :)
  3. Thought it might have been the weight of the spoiler. Are the springs easy to fit or should I ask them to replace them at the next service?
  4. When my remote boot release is activated the boot just "clonks" and opens amout 1mm. I've seen another IS where the boot lifts about 200mm. Which is the norm? I've got the standard Lexi add on rear spoiler (the raised one). Thanks.
  5. I'd much prefer it on the key fob. I find it irritating when the mirrors are closed to look over my shoulder to see if any thing is coming before I get out
  6. Yep - I follow. May give it a go Thanks again.
  7. so is there another non "simple" conversion floating around some where? You mentiond the "single" conversion, where's the "dual" conversion. Thanks.
  8. Hmmmm....I must be missing something here. This is the exact conversion that I wanted but when I read the instructions I only found reference to brake & fog lights. No mention of the "side" lights or replacing the lamp holder with a dual filament one. Could someone please explain Thanks, Rick.
  9. Mines an April 2002. I noticed the spots around December (thought it was salt deposits etc). Mileage then was approx 9k Am going to mention it at next service (along with the wheels!).
  10. See what you can do mate. If you have a spare lying around I'll buy it off you Cheers....
  11. I'm sure I got one with my sticker set. Green background with gold writing on it? Admittedly you don't see it on the outside but I'm sure I changed it?
  12. I replaced mine with the current LOC tax disc holder. If you design a cooler one I'll buy that too. Still want these CD holders though B)
  13. Don't blame you mate Although I think I remember others getting theirs from somewhere else a bit cheaper? Perhaps they'll comment
  14. My other half had a crunch in her MGF (protected NCB with Tesco) and she "ended up" paying less for renewal. I say ended up as her renewal notice was around £80 more than if she went for a quote on their web site. They couldn't offer an explanation just suggested that she renewed it on-line!
  15. Point taken. Who were you insured with? Mine's up for renewal in six weeks.
  16. My other half has her MGF insured through Tesco. She was disappointed when she got her renewal notice through that it had gone up quite a bit. She tried an online quote (with Tesco) and it came in around £80 cheaper :arrrggg-matey: ! When she spoke to Tesco they couldn't offer a reason but advised her to renew her policy on line which she did. How many people would get a quote from the same company they've just had their renewal notice from, ask them to quote again, then save money INSURANCE IS SUCH A CON!!!
  17. You can gently prize it out with a very blunt instrument. I replaced mine with one of these dash trays.
  18. Be warned that if you are a named driver on another person's policy you do not get your own no claims bonus. Of course it's cheaper but when you want your own policy - OUCH! One option is to insure, for example, a wreck or an old banger (perhaps fictional ) in your own name to build up your own NCB :arrrggg-matey: I'm 39 with 5 years NCB and am insured with Tesco's for £438. No one else could come close. I'm hoping the GOLD scheme will better it next month when I renew though
  19. Nope, never had one fail on me. Certainly wouldn't put me off buying an IS even if it did :D
  20. They fold both ways if they're clonked hard enough. If you're lucky they stay in one piece too.
  21. The "angel eyes" look a bit scarey Some good stuff tho B)
  22. I noticed this a few weeks ago and, like you, assumed it was salt and other crap due to the bad weather. Trouble is the jetwash doesn't want to know - it looks permanent. Car's only 10 months old :( :( Think I'll point it out when it goes in for the next service.
  23. Thanks guys. I'll wait a few weeks and see if this lead materialises so I can go through the stereo. I'll post here with the info. Hopefully it can be retro fitted too. Rick.
  24. That's exactly what mine does. Sounds like it's coming from the centre air vents. I really only notice it when it's cold so may live with it.
  25. Light meter not required B) I can assure you :D
