  1. I'm thinking getting the smoked rear clusters. I've got the clear rear fogs tho, not sure if it'll look too cool with them? Any one got similar set up. What's it look like? Thanks.
  2. Well I wanted something as subtle as I could - but still wanted it to look cool B) I went for 50% on the sides and 35% on the rear screen. Having the 35% on the rear also tends to make the rear door windows "appear" slightly darker. I was bothered when I instructed them as I thought it wouldn't be dark enough but was VERY please with the new look. Exactly what I wanted. :) :) (I do have a black interior though). Rick.
  3. It is my understanding that they would not pass an MOT but if I have the car when it's due I will just silp the original bulbs back in for the test (only a couple of mins). I like to think I'm reasonably considerate to other road users as I know how bright this type of lamp can be when it's coming towards you. I generally use the height adjustment on 1 or 1.5 unless there isn't much traffic around, but am VERY aware of altering the setting if I have a load of any sort on board!
  4. From memory around £30 for the pair. Make sure you follow instructions to the letter for maximum benefit (cleaning windscreen etc before use). I ordered mine from here and got them next day. http://www.a-pp.com/shop/PIAA_Wipers.htm
  5. I fitted the PIAA silicon blades about six weeks ago. Don't think I'll use use ordinary rubber again! Unbelievable difference.
  6. Well I decided I spent so much on bulbs, PIAA extreme's (which are excellent) etc I decided to go the hole hog and get a true HID conversion kit. Admittedly it cost around £350 but to me it's worth every penny (and can always be removed and put on another vehicle with the same bulb type). DIY fitting is simple and took me around half an hour for both sides. Have a look here http://www.autolamps-online.com/gasdischar...ge/totalkit.htm The service and product is excellent.
  7. Check this out: http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...26660eea90f2944 It wouldn't show the picture for me, may be my brower's playing up? Steve can you show us the pics again please? Thanks. Rick.
  8. Yes please Steve. B) I guess the cool Lexus CD holders never materialised. I was looking forward to a couple of them. Shame. :(
  9. Mine's the same. Guess they've got good taste. Although I'd rather they sat on someone else's :(
  10. Mine does the same. I've always put it down to "normal operation" of the auto transmission. Hope I don't hear otherwise
  11. Oh how true.....all of it.....did like this one tho...... No....YOU make you look fat in that dress.:lol:
  12. Other way round me thinks - 9006 is dipped, 9005 is main. ;)
  13. I have a sensor that uses microwaves - there's a strip fitted inside the rear bumper - no drilling required. Let me know if you'd like further details. Yes please. Don't want any form of visual aid, only audible. Does the bumper have to be removed for fitting? Thanks.
  14. Well I must admit I'm VERY tempted to order one of these. Did you need to do any alignment? Mine's got the adjuster inside but obviously not automatic. Any idea what would happen when an MOT's due?
  15. 1. Cruise control memory isn't lost when speed drops below 25mph 2. Solar panel in sun roof to enable a/c to tick over when parked with engine off. 3. Able to open sun roof if its tilted, without having to close it first.
  16. Well it started off sensible at least. Thanks guys, I've got a couple of options to try now.
  17. Cheers Rob. I'll sit tight for the dual filament jobby ;)
  18. Seems to take for ever to get the blasted stuff in. Any suggestions which way to point that poxy nozzle so it doesn't keep cutting out?
  19. Definately all of the above - and a couple of very small things I'd like to see: 1. A cut out above the sun-visor so its easier to get my fat mitt in to put it down. 2. Top-tint windscreen. ;)
  20. Thanks guys, guess that's what I expected really. So is the "240W Premium Sound System" standard on the SE and Sport or is there a factory upgrade option? I never saw a brochure.
  21. First of all HI 2 u all. I've had my spanking new IS200 SE for about 6 weeks now. Just so pleased with it. Went from an Omega Elite (didn't mean 2 swear, honest) to this baby, and boy what a dream. I've been flicking through the forums and came across mention of "Lexus 8 Speaker 240 W Premium Sound System". I've noticed that all ads relating to the IS200, including the spec. on the web site refers to an "eight" speaker system. Why has mine only got 6 speakers? Can anyone enlighten me as to the subject matter. The standard system sounds pretty good. Does it cost much to make it sound a LOT better? Many thanks...
