  1. I bought my IS200 SE 1 year ago with 6000 miles on the clock . I now have 11000. The engine has loosened up and it drives like a dream. When working I was doing 22000 a year but it good to have a quality car in retirement and not have high mileage.
  2. I agree that the fox must be controlled. It is the open spectacle of the hunt glorifying violent acts under the umbrella that it is a legitimate 'sport' that gets me.

  4. I live close to the New Forest. How so called civilised people can mount a horse, go chasing a fox over open countryside and take pleasure in seeing the poor animal killed is beyond my comprehension. I have seen the hunt in action and it is not a very nice sight. The demonstration is anti govt and is more than just hunting.
  5. I have just had the 2 yr ( 20000) full service done by Lexus Southampton. I paid £200 and had to ring them twice afterwards with queries. The air conditioning filter was not changed as they had none in stock. They did not charge me or tell me until I asked and they also failed to clean out the existing one. I did it with a vacuum cleaner as there was dust and seeds in the filter. The brake fluid was not changed but when I asked they stated that they had checked it with a machine. This is fair enough but I had to ask as there was no information given by them. I bought my car from them and I can't help feeling that the the final sum of £200 was a rip off!
  6. I am with Eagle Star and for my IS 200 SE I pay £253. I am however retired with full no claims and I am the only driver.
  7. Chris Count me in,I will saunter in from Southampton
  8. Yesterday at Eastleigh, Hants just past some lights in a residential area I saw an elderly man lying prostate on the pavement. He was not moving at all,I stopped my car rushed over to him thinking that he had collapsed. I said ' Hi, are you all right, can I help? He moved and I saw that he had been trying to turn his water stop ***** off! We had a good laugh.
  9. I had just bought my IS200 in Sept2001 when in heavy traffic in the rain at 9mph I had to do an emergency stop. The ABS does'nt come on at that speed and being a heavy car the wheels locked and I slowly skidded into the rear bumber of the car in front. Luckily no damage was caused but as I had transferred over from the new lighter Celica I feel that the Celica would have pulled up within the required distance. It gave me a shock and now in such circumstances I allow an even greater braking distance at very slow speeds.
  10. Having just joined the club, pardon my ignorance but what and where is TTE?
