  1. I have a 2015 RC-F but no idea if TPMS is similar on all models so I posted here to maybe have more chance of responses. I had a slow puncture in a rear wheel, the air was leaking from where the valve meets the rim, I took it to a tyre place & they couldnt get the TPMS off because it was seized & was going to break, so they asked me what I wanted to do, I said it was ok to replace it, so they broke it off & put a new TPMS sensor on that wheel, cloned the ID etc. I drove away after but I noticed none of the tyre pressures were showing on the dash, the TPMS light wasnt on, I thought it might take a few miles to recalibrate or something, but it never came back. I read the manual, did the turn on the ig, press the TPMS button under the dash, it flashed 3 times & then waited a few minutes, turned it off & back on again, didnt work. Plugged in the diag tool, it shows all 4 sensor ID's & all sensors are reading a pressure. Took it back to the tyre place, they spend 2 hours messing with it, resetting it all etc & gave up, refunded me for the job. Anyone else had these issues, does it HAVE TO BE an OEM Lexus TPMS sensor? any ideas before I get ripped off by Lexus dealerships? would TPMS be covered by that "Relax" warranty? So to sum it up, no TPMS light is on, all values on the dash are -:--, all tyre pressures are good, I did the reset procedure from the manual & all 4 TPMS sensors are transmitting & reading values when viewing them on the diag tool. Anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it. Thanks.
  2. I ordered a new scuff plate for the drivers side as it had a few noticeable dents & scuffs on it, got the new one in the mail today & fitted it. If I can ever get the alloys refurbished, Ill have a good looking 9 year old car!
  3. oh yeah, "OBD Eleven" does Lexus now, it used to be V.A.G. only. I had one on my old car, it was decent.
  4. Id rather they ended production of the RCF & LC500 than put in a smaller engine with a turbo & only offering the hybrid LC would not sell enough units. Weve already seen glimpses of what their future sports models will be, so its the end of the v8 era & the start of ..whatever the new one is with fresh platforms.
  5. You can go to the mongoose official website & buy the real cable for £200 or something.
  6. I bought a techstream thing off amazon/ebay you get the software & an obd cable for about £30
  7. Anyone managed to get their oem diamond cut alloy wheels refurbished? Ive been looking into getting mine done & it seems although various places advertise as doing diamond cut wheels, they REALLY dont want to..or maybe they cant, they only want you to get them powder coated, if I insist I want the OEM diamond cut finish, they dont want to know.
  8. Good news, road tax is going up too. Nothing like throwing good money down the drain.
  9. Fensport have always been good lexus & toyota specialists for sporty models. That celsior is perhaps a bit too rare & old so you have to pay the prices. I also used nengun.com & rhdjapan.com which are for parts imported from Japan.
  10. you can get brembo on autodoc with the oem part number, well for RCF anyway
  11. Nice to see a definitive list of affected models in that article. Would be useful to pin such information to the forums. Lexus models Affected years/months Lexus LC / LC-C 2017/03 – 2024/03 Lexus RC 2017/03 – 2024/03 Lexus RX / RX L 450h 2015/10 – 2022/10 Lexus ES 2018/10 – 2024/02 Lexus GS / GS-F 2015/11 – 2020/11 Lexus NX 2017/09 – 2021/10 Lexus LS 2017/10 – 2022/09 Lexus UX / UXe 2018/10 – 2023/12
  12. could be worse, apparently land rover & range rover owners cant even get insured because of all the theft.
  13. I seem to remember at least on older imports that Japan uses FM signal for satnav so its useless here. That was a 1999 Altezza.
