Hi Roll the window all the way down. Roll the window all the way up keeping the switch up until you hear a click (could be as long as 12 seconds for it to click). Roll all the way down and keep the switch down,wait for the click. Roll all the way up and again wait for the click - should be reset.

Just a thought to protect the carpet if it is condensation - puppy trainer mats are very thin and easily cut to size, one placed under your floor mat would be unnoticable and soak up any water effectively.

Pleased that it is staying dry for you under those circumstances at least.

Wonder if a Council MOT Station would give a more unbiased test with them having no interest in any repair work. I have one nearby but never tried it.

Yeah, its the manual for ML Audio / Sat system...given because the ML system is not described in the handbook.

Wonder if the AC condensation tube is connected properly AC side, although you checked this ...does the carpet stay dry with the AC turned off? The carpet must be rubber backed then? No traces of damp coming down from the surrounding carpet? I'd let it dry out then put the force of water from a hosepipe on the exterior passenger door window / windscreen & cowling / sunroof (last) wait at least 10 minutes between each location, check the carpet each time...this should tell you if rain is getting in or not. On my Subaru I had a similar problem - found a build up of silt underneath the wiper cowling, this was stopping water from running away down the correct channels beneath it, water found its way down into the blower fan and came in from under the dash...probably not possible on a Lexus but I don't know. Yes I totally agree Rowley, I would rather pay a bit more and have some decent quality all season tyres for safety's sake in winter. Although my IS250 is shod with Bridgestone Turanza's it wont be moving anywhere if the weather gets harsh - I have a different car for that.

Had Bridgestone Weather Control 005 on my wifes previous Ford, excellent in the wet - it never snowed much while we had the car so cannot comment - they're not rated the best in snow but we picked them as we'd rather have those than summer tyres in Winter.

It's a wonder the tyre didnt pop at the time of incident tbh, well done for inspecting the damage and asking for advice.

A Solar panel trickle charger might help, it sits on your dash and plugs in to your obd socket - if your not comfortable with that some Solar panels come with croc clips if you wanted to remove your battery and put it inside your car to keep it topped up.

I thought the same thing when I bought my 06 last December - has the previous owner been using E10 only. It's been fine, no disasters and running lovely with E10 + Millers EPS additive. Time will tell I suppose but it's not at the top of my worry list. Best wishes

No OBD2 memory saver device needed then - sorry.

On my IS250 I ran the cable along the top of the windscreen then down the windscreen side of the A pillar then round the bottom bit and then down the side of the dash. If you go across the top of the A pillar trim the cable could compromise the air bag from deploying. There are OBD2 memory savers that you can buy that you just plug in, the other end connects to a different battery- when your battery is disconnected this saves your settings from going awol. Cheers

Currently my "Hello from Neilo" page opens up in the new members forum (it now has 2.2K views mainly by me I expect lol). Would be great to see the home screen or maybe the latest posts page instead. I've looked and looked but I can't seem to find a way of changing it. Thanks Neil.

Garmin 55 in the Subaru and Garmin 56 in the Lexus, I like them because they're small, very good quality video, the cable is thin and easily tucks away behind the windscreen seals etc. I'm sure there's newer better ones but I can't fault my old Garmins.

Thank you Linas, sorted it now - I had the engine running when trying to pair up the second fob to memory 2. It worked straight away with the engine off as you said to do, thanks for your detailed info and the time taken. Cheers Neil 🙂

Hi all, my wife has just started to drive the IS250, I've linked my key to memory 1 button settings on the door and it works fine - does anyone know if it is possible to link the second key to button 2 settings please? If I have the seat positioned to button 2 settings - when I press button 2 on the door I get a beep straight away before even pressing lock or unlock on the fob - the fob doesnt link up. Just wondering if only one key can be programmed maybe? Thanks for any help Neil.

Might be tedious to do but a brush type tooth pick might be worth a try.
