  1. Some one on here painted them blue - they looked good. Best bet is to look at the garage at all the IS/Altezzas to get an idea
  2. I think if you are a gold member adding photos is easier. If your not a gold member - register at photobucket - add your photos there and then you can display them on here - click the tree and them paste in the url where the phot is - this is shown under the photo when saved at photobuckt. Its easy when you have done it once
  3. I had this a few years ago with an Orion which had brake shoes on the back. Litteraly had to drag the wheels a few yards to free it. It also made a load clunk. Which I think was amplified through the car so made it sound worse than it was. I greased the release mechanism and the springs and it (being the hand brake not releasing) never happened again.
  4. Better re-do it then - cheers - the lads at work never warned me about that. Evenmore important - make sure you pump the brakes before you set off - I forgot as I washed it straight afterwards, 1/4mile down the road nearly went up a Mercs a**E. Managed to stop in time after some frantic pumping of the peddle and skidding the rear wheels with the handbrake.
  5. Not a great deal increase in power -maybe a little and the noise is only different when "digging deep" for power - and not much at that. Iwas expecting better and was dissappointed TBH. thats the reality! just changing the air filter isnt doing to provide a noticable power difference ( if any at all) doesnt the KN filter last for 10 years supposedly, it will last while have the car atleast, so its a saving of about £17 every service, so its still worth it.
  6. I have had this problem before and co-incidently I freed mine up again yesterday. I used WD40 before and it worked, seals were ok, but 6 months later it was stiff again. The piston comes out, but does not "suck" back when the peddle is released. This time I have used some spray called dry lube, we use it at work when repairing vacuum pumps etc, its a ptfe spray that drys. Its very good and hopefully will be better than WD40.

  8. I lacquered mine - three are still ok - very clean, yet the NSF is brake dust grey, infact you can only realy see when washing - maybe I missed it with the lacquer
  9. If you a looking for a cheap contract hire car try this Link my accountant has one and its a great car. Not for me though, but for a car of that list price - its cheap. Even cheaper are deals on Saab's and X3's (yuck). When the new 3 series came out the contrat hire charge was a lot higher than the previous shape, they drop after a bit.
  10. I bought mine (IS fronts and rears) from Motor spares - Richardshaw Lane Pudsey 0113 2578682 Cheaper and they have done well, they get some stick as well. I did em myself, and I found that when I changed em there was still a fair bit on the old ones - Lex Leeds shame on you ! Rich
  11. I use it, try to get BP ulitimate when posS. But only because EVO says it gave them 5bhp or so more power than others. I think it gives more response to throttle. It only costs me £3 a week more so its ok. But I ponder it every time I fill up.
  12. Especially when you read the terms on the first page of the web site.
  13. I like it , but I have to agree (not that you what to know :shutit: ) that the mirrors look bad. They would look better white , and I think the light covers should be white as well. - actually I have changed my mind leave em black 170MPH + You have to like it - surely :D
  14. Either you lot drive like a granny, or my car is a guzle guts : 22 mpg when driving like a tw4t and about 28 when not (but cant remember :D ). Dont do much motorways but I dont think I get much over 30. Heres what some said previously - Previous thread
  15. At my last job, I had the opportunity to drive : F550 Maranello - drove quite a bit :D :D F*** me :D :D :D :D :D :D F360 Spider Modena - drove a couple of times with someone following S600 SEL Merc 928s4 porsche If your posing a Ferrari it has to be. Everybody looks, it was great. The others were just - another merc or porsche The 550 was best, but in Vagas a F355 spider would be the one
  16. NTL at home - good but has been down several times over last couple of years. BT at work - never had any problem, even with multiusers.
  17. Is it - not in my 20 years of owning a car and running a fleet for 5 years a while ago.
  18. Yeah I got them. Used to be concerned about the "steam" but haven't used a drop in 3 years.
  19. I got to Blacklist 4... :D 3 is proving a bit hard though.... ← Clever bugger. I am torn between my lads BattleFront 2, and the wife (who is complaining now !) Its just time - I'll get there.
  20. Got it for xmas. Upto 12 now about to challenge for 11. In an IS300 - topped out at 179mph so far :D :D Spent a few quid on mods :duh:
  21. After suffering a strange noise for 18months after a small crash its time to sort it out. From what I have been told by Lexus Leeds and the insurers its definately the heater matrix. When you rev it with your head next to the matrix you can hear the noise is clearly being made inside the matrix, by all accounts something is stuck in their - maybe a piece of the damaged water pump that was replaced in the crash. Its been flushed maybe four times in the past without success. But I recon if I can get it out then flush it, the debris will come out easily as it is not having to be flushed "uphill" Anyway - I can see the matrix from under the drivers footwell. It seems that to get it out you unscrew the clamps on the inlet and out let pipes then you just slide it out. Is this right ? I haven't disconnected the pipes yet, just after feedback before I get to far in - especially on a bank holiday !
