  1. Has this been round before? Crazy idea - not sure I'd want other drivers seeing what mood I'm in.
  2. If it IS just a scrape then a body shop should be able to fix you right up without a replacement bumber.
  3. A mate of mine (the guy who was selling the ridiculous RS4) has recently bought the Gran Sport and loves it. It is an amazing car. He'd always loved the shape but was put off the car for various reasons before the Gran Sport came out which apparently fixed alot. I'll ask him what turned him off the earlier models. PS - that Autotrader link isn't working for me
  4. Just a quick update to say the car was delivered back this afternoon with a full bumper re-spray (beautifully done I might add) even though it was a tiny scrape. Took 'em a full week to do it, mind. But overall totally chuffed - well worth the claim if you can prove who did it, even on such a small bit of damage. :D
  5. Welcome to LOC! I'm another S owner here - and I love it to bits. Not having a sunroof is a bonus in my books. And if you're already on this site it won't be long before you're changing the 16" wheels for something more unique anyway. happy
  6. Those look great - even better when you get the rims blackened :)
  7. This thread is worth a bump! Watched the full movie last night: crackin' old school action movie. The story is pish, but the action is 120%, and the fact that it's in french gives it a certain style Some silly modded cars in it too. highly reccomended!! al
  8. Cor, loadsa reasons - mostly cos 5yrs in development is too long/expensive. Unfortunately the game was never optimised so ISO's won't run on retail boxes (dev boxes have more RAM)
  9. A few, been at it for 11 yrs Last one got canned though Linky Currently trying to set up my own company - but it aint easy!
  10. :o Wow - yes some very nice examples there. Any online UK distributors for them (just to get an idea of prices)? al
  11. Those are nice, and a quick search shows that they are indeed pretty cheap. Why are you changing g4crx? From the pics of your car they don't look a million miles away from what you have already? al
  12. Was kinda hoping they DID deny it so I could have showed the photo evidence. As it stands, photo wasn't needed - in fact I haven't even had to fill out a claims form. crazy! :D
  13. UPDATE: w00t! Van company has admitted full liability - car is being picked up for full repairs, and courtesy car is being provided. No impact on no-claims, no excess. nice.
  14. Turned up in the post today. :D Many thanks for sorting this Steve. al
  15. ^^^^^^ oho! someone else in the games biz! Alex here - got the IS in Feb and still can't stop staring at it - much to the missus' annoyance. 32 yrs old - and been a video game designer for 11 years at various UK companies. Right now in the process of setting up my own game dev company, which means no cash and no mods - and alot of very jealous groans at some of the lovely cars in the club. :)
  16. (Again from personal experience) I'd say avoid Avermedia cards. Other than that can't offer a firm recommendation. This link might help? Some reviews there. h
  17. The great thing about the AIO/SG/Carnuba treatment - when done properly - is that it lasts for MONTHS - just a quick wash and the car is GLEAMING again. Can't wait to see what the Daywalker is going to look like when it's done - I reckon on a sunny day, it'll look like that chromed Audi doing the rounds. Well done, Mr. Singh!!! :D
  18. From my personal experience avoid the Linksys WAG54G (all-in-one router/DSL modem/wireless thingy) - it has fundamental flaws and they never released it stateside so it gets f-all support. h
  19. Well, just spoke to Directline (who were great: answered phone in one ring etc.) They're going to contact the company that owns the van and hassle them to admit liability (armed with my photos and 3 witness statements) and if they do then I get repaired on their insurance without touching my excess or no-claims, but if they can't prove liability then they will cancel the claim - and I'll have to pay myself (without touching my insurance). That was my first time of putting directline to the test and so far it really has eased the pain of the fools on the road. slightly less miffed. :)
  20. :tsktsk: Morning all, Looked out of window this morning to see a van parked WAY too tightly behind my Lex. Was about to go down and inspect when it started to pull out - luckily the missus grabbed a camera and took a snap. When I did make it down saw that sure enough he'd scraped the rear bumper pretty badly. Here's a Pic of the cuplrit (Logos removed) And here's a pic of the Scrape Off to ring directline now - but I don't know if this is gonna be worth claiming what with excesses etc. even though I have photos, registration details etc. Anyone had similar experiences (that ended happily)? :tsktsk: miffed h.
