  1. We know she's "Evie" but whether that's Eve, Eva or Evelyn will be decided today. Gonna go pick them both up in a couple of hours so she'll get her first trip in the lex ;)
  2. At 7:45pm today, Mrs. Hando gave birth to an 8 pound little girl It's our second so Hando-number-one-son is in for a shock tomorrow.
  3. Not if you have the cooled leather seats in the 250 - had one for the day not so long ago and originally I thought it was a gimmick but then did a long hot drive with them on and it was like a thousand ice-fairies blowing gently on my butt. mmmmmmmmmmmmm.
  4. Chrome exhaust trim - fitted not flush with the old pipe should make it stick out enough.
  5. I can't tell what make of car it is.... ... if only there was a logo on it.
  6. Gord is right - haven't noticed any noticeable diff in mpg in my 300 versus my old 200 (although I haven't done any exact meassurments)
  7. I was parked next to one at a service station last week (must've been being delivered to a dealer or something.) It looked really, really strange. Confused is right. Didn't like it at all.
  8. Thank you. Not sure of exact % - went to Autoshades on Aquanuke's recommendation and asked them to match the rear tints as closely as possible - they did a great job.
  9. Yes they are - available direct from TTE in germany or from dealers branded as Lexus. Also, pop up on ebay from time to time.
  10. Great day - some lovely cars there - and great to finally meet some LOC'ers and put some faces to names. Would've liked to stay longer to meet some more members and cars but had to leave sharpish as Mrs. Hando is due with our second kid. Many thanks to Tony, Mark and Tony (and everyone else who gave so much help making it a great day.)
  11. im having the same problem smells rank Quick fix: spray febreeze down the intake vents (under the wipers whilst the blower is on) - this will temporarily fix the problem. You can take the filter out and give it a clean too. But permanent fix is to replace the filter (in glove compartment). EDIT - just remembered another tip that was on here ages ago from someone in the trade - I never tried it myself but other did and said it worked. Get an extension lead and some sellotape and a full kettle. Put the kettle in the passenger footwell and then tape down the "boil" button - turn car on and put it on "recirculate" then leave it for 10 mins or so till the water has boiled away - the boiling steam will go through the system and kill all the bacteria that is creating the pong. makes sense.
  12. Don't tell me or has he got a spare set? Ha, nope I believe Parth is currently on his orig 5 spokes. Your rims are safely tucked away next to "The Boss" machine. Tony - whose rims were there today that i was looking at just back from BJV?
  13. Daz, The quality of the refurb is top drawer: really good. Parthiban is having his done there - check with him when he gets his back too.
  14. aaaaaaaaa, that's better. :) Picked up the rims this afternoon from wim. All is good. :) Tango, your rims are safely back at wim - thanks for the loan.
  15. Sorry to hear this mate. This page might be of use if you haven't found it already?
  16. yup - I definitely think this site's a keeper. Could be my new one-stop detailing site.
  17. .. with no guarantee that it won't go "pop" again in X days/weeks. There's a design fault in these units. For those who want to keep the stock unit/look - go for the grom ipod adapter - it's what I did and I'm very happy with it. 40gb of my music controlled through the headunit.
  18. Ah excellent - I think I'll be using these guys quite a bit from now on :) Definitely - let's try for a discount - gawd knows I spend enough on detailing kit as it is! :) EDIT - ah just seen Rob's post on detailing "air miles" - oh well, I'm sure it'll all add up.
  19. In the past I've got my detailing stuff from Autopia - it's a great site with great products and great service. The only problem obviously was the shipping charges. So it only really made sense when I was buying lots of stuff and I could never find somewhere in the uk that stocked all the stuff I wanted that Autopia had. However I found this place the other week: Clean your car . It seems to stock all the stuff I used to order from Autopia: Sonus, Carlack, P21S, Collinite, poorboys, 303 Aerospace etc etc. Maybe this is old news to some of you guys but it's news to me. My first order is coming this week. (PS - nope, I'm not affiliated with the site in any way - just happy to see somewhere where I can get my sonus etc stuff in the uk)
  20. In my mind, this is how I see Geoffers dealing with windows problems (although probably holding a jaffa cake in the other hand)
  21. Grrrrr. I've spent exactly two hours the last week with the car parked in public places. Just two hours! Tuesday - some idiot must have rammed the car with a shopping trolley leaving a big dink on the wheel arch (over the crease too.) Thursday - someone has scraped against the bottom side of my front bumper - leaving a nine inch gouging scratch right through to the bodywork. :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk: This kind of stuff only ever happens when you've just had work done and you're feeling happy with your car. So I think I'll go for a bumper respray (might as well get rid of the stone chips while I'm at it) - and some remedial work on the front wing. Anyone got any recommendations for a trusted body shop in berks? Or West London?
  22. After clicking on restore - try right clicking the internet explorer on the taskbar and select "Move". The mouse cursor should disappear (it should have moved it to the title bar of the hidden window) - now hold the left mouse button down and move the mouse to the left whilst still holding the left button down. If IE has been moved off screen you should be able to move it back like this. hope that helps.
  23. I usually get my Sonus stuff direct from autopia in la: here. If they ship to UK they should ship to Spain too. Don't think they stock the Collinite but they do have the P21S which is a good carnuba too. @ Steve: Sonax is different to Sonus - but looks interesting though.
