  1. sometimes the cat need replacing, I'm sure people on here have had this or similar prob with there cars dunno if taking your car to get the emissions checked at a mot station would show anything haven't you lot got a dyno day soon, could try asking the guys at the dyno if they know of anything
  2. Its basically the best bang per buck mod u can get for the Altezza, gives u some much needed low end torque. Not sure of anyone that has got one tuned in in Ireland though, I might be the first! Plan on getting one soon and see if the lads in Westward will tune it in for me Been doing a bit of reading up on it and i might be interested in getting one myself. What sort of dosh would we be looking at including set up? talk to Mark at TDI (lakeside), they installed and set up mine, will give you an idea of how much it'll cost

    My Altezza

the spliters are for the legana bumper look in pics 1 and 3
  4. it allows you to controll you cam timing and the fueling by a small amount, so you can gain a few extra hp and a bit more torque
  5. there's a few ECU's you can get Apexi, greddy e-manage, hks to name a few some are easier to fit than others, some a straight swap others you need the looms and someone who knows what there doin as for "getting modding" there's so much you can do, if you gonna be N/A modding like myself you wanna get the car to breath more easily, so air in exhaust out a few things you can do induction kit or performance filter new back box de-cat manifold port and polish the head camcon aftermarket ecu throttle bodies maybe final drive kit light weight flywheel uprated clutch you could go for a supercharger or turbocharger, think you can run about 0.6 bar boost then your need injector upgrades new fuel pump and other bits so you better be prepared to get your cash out if you wanna run 1bar boost your need to uprate your internals so you don't blow the car up some mods will depend on what your set up is like, cams and pulleys ect how much do you wanna spend ????
  6. would of thought the clutch would be ok then mine's started to slip abit but thats only really been when the car is under a lot of load like pulling off at a steep hill and when you punch it from a standing start but never slips in normal day to day driving so no clutch smell I'm sure some else has had a similar problem
  7. you can't remap the standard ECU so you would need to go aftermarket but there wouldn't be much point unless your gonna get modding, you maybe able to chip it but I'm not 100% sure as for Induction kit your get a nice raw from under the bonnet as when you floor it still makes me smile like a little school kid when I plant the loud pedal on mine and a few more hp but nothing major you can read the spec of mine to see what I've done and the power it's pushing in my sig, that give you a few ideas
  8. try asking in the buy and sell forum may have more response there ;)
  9. could be the cat think people have said they can smell a bit as for new clutch on warranty, don't think so as it's a change/replaceable part like brake pads ect ect what millage has the car done ?? I've been looking into uprated clutches as I'm gonna need to put 1 in for the next round of mods I've got planned as I'm gonna be at the top of what the standard clutch will take your looking £250 upwards depending on what you get
  10. nice kit. I like the low slung wide boy look, could get phat rims in those arches
  11. I'm in for a set of these as well so looks like there's at least 4 of us
  12. I would of thought that he would have to by a complete unit as most dealers now days just want to change the part rather than fix the problem German and Swedish are good on price for car parts, and the just up by tower park, they maybe of more help
  13. yeah it is just set up for my car, also it's set on 97ron fuel so you Irish boys may struggle a bit
  14. dipped beam is the 2 outside lights, so I would say you've got them the wrong way round
  15. looking good if you decide not to put the eye brows on and you wanna sell them give me a pm
  16. Take a look where the barrier/armco was hit to the right... Now look again at where the pick-up has landed.... Now take a look at the big picture....
  17. To add to MacRS200's post, The TRD dials also go up to 240km (while normal JDM Altezzas go to only 180km), the revs go right to 10,000rpm. (Yellow from 8000-9000, and red from 9000-10,000). Expensive little fellows aren't the :P bit but what can a N/A tuned tezza rev to safely without blowing up, I hit the limiter at 7750rpm but looking at the TRD dials looks like there's a lot more to go
  18. fuel pump could be losing fuel pressure
