Confused By Holiday Booking

It's not very often I ask questions on the forums but today I have one.

I am looking at booking a holiday with Thomson and on the 1st page as shown below it states the holiday price "Includes all applicable taxes and charges" which I assume means both UK and Dominican Republic departure taxes.

However when you get to page 5 of the booking form it then states under "Important information" that "Exit tax of $20.00US per person payable locally on departure"

So my question is how can all the taxes and charges be included when they are obviously not?

It's one of those grey areas isn't it!

You could always challenge Thompson on the vagueness and get them to include it if you can. Plain English and all that!! We challenged Santander about a £10 charge and they ended up giving us £30!!

Once you've had your holiday they have your money, end of story.

It took my daughter and husband plus a couple of hundred other passengers 5 days to get home once their holiday had finished and although they got back all the money for the holiday after a 15 month battle of letters they got a further goodwill gesture of £350 it wrecked what should have been the holiday of a lifetime. Oh yes that was with Thompson. Sorry Mike
