  2. would be nice if that Lexus specific insurance covered all Lexus models
  3. Generic one should be fine but people do experience compatibility issues with certain cars/chargers. These are quite good value, and easy to return if it doesn’t work with your NX (reviews question it’s water resistance though): https://www.screwfix.com/p/masterplug-10a-2300w-mode-2-type-2-plug-electric-vehicle-charging-cable-5m/934ka
  4. Possibly just low on pressure. Best to get the diagnostic code(s) read to know for sure.
  5. Yes im pretty sure thats normal. I am not sure what it is exactly but suspect its the inverter pump running. I remember hearing this noise when the car is on but the engine has stopped. But might be worth asking when you visit lexus next just so all of us know what it is.
  6. Water pump was done in march 2022 at lexus cambridge for £319 (fixed price). Was done at a jap car specialist (Japex).

  8. Still under investigation, given the randomness of the issue we'll have to wait until someone is really paying attention when it happens and have the spare capacity to monitor the event. That might take a while. I've changed the spark plugs last month (80k-ish kms but 10 years old) and so far it's been running smooth...
  9. Hi, uncovering new things daily since my supposed dead battery. Before I book the car in, want to check if this is normal. After starting the main ignition mode, the engine runs for a few minutes and then stops. Does everyone else have this high pitch electrical whining noise coming from the LH middle/rear side of their engine? If not, will be changing my battery assessment on Friday to a proper electrical review! Thanks all! 20240611_091156.mp4 20240611_091128.mp4

  11. That's annoying! Not quite as exclusive as you were lead to believe then, but not sure what they can do about that now as hard to quantify it. Have you outlined any expectations to them vis a resolution?
  12. The mode button is usually the bottom arrow/dot of the set that controls the options, you’ll have three options: cruise control, speed limiter, dynamic / adaptive cruise. You need to press the mode until adaptive cruise shows, then set your speed. Covered in the manual you can see here: https://www.lexus.co.uk/owners/about-my-lexus/manuals
  13. On a journey yesterday the aircon button light kept going off on its own and the function stopped. Each time I turned it back on after 10 minutes or so off it went and only ambient air. Could it just need regassing or more likely something more serious. Any ideas please?
  14. Thanks, that feature is working fine and the car is slowing down when approaching a car but the lanes are quiet and not packed as in the UK 🙂
  15. Thanks for the reply. I think at some point I saw a message like “speed limiter”. So even if I set the speed to 70mph it still doesn’t accelerate? How can I cancel it pls as I can’t remember setting it up?! the lanes are clear as motorways are quiet with 3 lanes in France where I am travelling. I will try normal cruise cruise control later today. Good idea 👍🏻 Thanks
  16. Newbie did you get this problem sorted as just happened to mine. Where was the chap located in London who repairs the unit as cannot find any info.. Be great if you could let me know x

  18. The previous version of the Lexus app had this feature. In their infinite wisdom Lexus removed this useful feature for the "new and improved" version we have now.I thought evolution was meant to improve things.
  19. Flat head to pop the retainer which connects to bumper. Followed by 10mm and 12mm ratchet. I only removed the retainers and middle 3 bolts that gave me enough access.
  20. This might be a stupid question, but: Which distance to the vehicle in front have you set? Is it slowing because you are approaching the rear of another vehicle? If the distance is on the longest setting the vehicle in front is quite a good way in front.
  21. At the moment none. the black one up for sale £35k is the one I saw and would avoid.
  22. Would have to be a big hole sadly but a good idea. Considering a 3D printed cover but not got to that.
  23. Thankfully everything worked fine with IG1 not working. Brakes, brake lights, steering, etc., so not sure how important that fuse is. What doesn’t help, I forgot to point out, the tray under the passenger footwell is also currently off, as I’ve got leaking water due to AC drain blockage. Getting sorted this week. Maybe that’s why it was easier to kick off.
  24. That’s not brilliant, doesn’t reflect my experience either…I wonder if the later AVS cars have leaking shock issues? It’s hardly a big problem to be honest but cost you don’t need. I’m seem to remember reading that shocks aren’t covered by warranty either!! Are there any other RCFs on your radar at the moment?
  25. I have a 2010 USA RX450h hybrid. I also encountered error C1A40. I had to fill three eeproms with zeros - two(!) in the Power Management Control ECU (PMC) and one in the Engine ECU (ECM). Eeprom in DSU was converted using the @SPC method. After that I filled the VIN-number into the PMC using Techstream, then initiate Immobilizer/PMC learn routine and radar worked. (Part numbers: DSU 88150-48040, Radar 88210-48061, ECM 89661-48E21, PMC 89681-48052). Then I did the same thing with the ECU from a restyled hybrid (2012-2015) from Europe and everything worked too. But the radar & DSU region remained North America. True, in this case the VIN had to be registered in the ECM. (Part numbers: DSU 88150-48040, Radar 88210-48061, ECM 89661-48G10, PMC 89681-48240). Now the dynamic speed is set from 47 km/h and operates up to 180 km/h. Thanks @SPC! Dump.rar
