Is It Me Or...

Recommended Posts

I've been tracking trade-in price on Parkers.co.uk since November last year to get a (very) rough idea what I might get for mine when I change in the next 6 months. I haven't bothered registering with the website, so have had to take the default 50k then 60k estimated mileage

It dropped rapidly from £19,660 in Nov to £18,310 in Feb. Since then its been much better, falling to £18,090 today. £220 in 6 months is not bad at all

Interestingly, the price suggested that one would have to pay a franchised dealer for the car has fallen by £1,300 in the last 6 months.

Read what you will in those data. I'm seeing it as a positive for me.

Interesting. I had been thinking of changing the Exige for some time, having had it fot 12 years. I looked seriously at the Boxster/Cayman, the M3, late SLKs, AMG Cl63 and finaly thought of the ISF. Had known about them for a long time but hadn't really though about them seriously. After much research I drobve one liked it enough to put the Exige on the market. Exige sold but the ISF that I had like was gone. Finaly found one, a 2011 with 38000 miles which I bought last Saturday, picking it up this Saturday.

Now I rememeber the question that I wanted to ask here. The car is currently on the extended warrent, runs out at the end on this month so I get all of a couple of weeks of it. If I renew the extended warrenty do I have to stick to main dealers for servicing or can I use independents?

Good question not sure. I would assume main dealer as they would question maintenance done by a Indy. Having said that I seem to recall a Piston heads thread about new cars being serviced at Indy garages and manufacturers a having to honour warranty packages. Worth a call to your dealer either way.

I tell ya what is could be.. people googling RCFs and ISFs also pop up.. now people are think "hello" whats this.. 4 door Lexus with 417bhp.. looks like Lexus had viagra in 2008.. 😂

i got mate at work and he went to the japfest on sun just gone, he said to me if i had taken the ISF it would of stood out like a sore thumb.. its rare and people are starting to talk about them more and more.. 8yrs after producing the 1st.

i will be selling mine within 2 weeks if my business inestment goes through.. so PM me if anyone is looking for a white one.

Its done 79k lexus history with Lex warrenty till May. Rather give my friendly LOC community 1st refusal.

I think i done free advertising for Lexus in Birmingham lol, people still ask questions and are amazed why they didnt hear about these, i do still believe they wont drop less then 20k unless its over 100k miles.. not because im selling, but because i was looking for a very long time and these babys dont budge.. the more people learn about them the more they will be in demand and the more they will hold value 😉

Lets face it, reliability over a German sports car.. Vosprung Deutsch tek it to the garage.
