well they made a mess of ours and we eneded up fixing the problems ourselves because of the ****** in the sales office... engineer was incompetant... enever came back to fix problem.

I would say bad myself...

I think playa might mean the G.A.P. (Guaranteed Asset Protector) available from Lexus, Steve.

Basically, G.A.P, in the event of an insurance write off claim, pays out anything above what your insurer pays out up to the brand new price of the car (15K payout max.).

For example, If you paid £20K for a new IS200 and it was stolen and burnt out after 3 years, your insurance company would probably pay you out £12K - £13K. G.A.P. would payout the remaining £7K - £8K so you could buy a new car. It is kind of an extra insurance policy.

I took it out when I got my car. It is meant to be £399 for 3 years cover for the IS, but I haggled them down to £250.

Seems quite good value to me when I pay £1200 a year insurance anyway
