Reverse Light

Recommended Posts

would this LED light still give enough rear illumination

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281872491738?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

i have tried led's for reverse lights before on another car and they didn't provide enough light to the rear of the car

with these having a projector lens would this help at all.

any advice would be great

Not powerful enough as it is described as a W5W which is for side lights. You need a W16W type.

I fitted one of these and it is pretty bright compared to the weedy little filament bulb it replaced. It also has a COB LED which are brighter than standard apparently.

Hope this helps.

it is easy

open your boot lid and look at the lining you will see heads of the clips holding the lining in place

i think there maybe 10 in total, you now need to remove the panel clips ,i use my panel removal tools

the same as these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4pcs-Car-Door-Plastic-Trim-Panel-Dash-Installation-Removal-Pry-Tool-Kit-/172067722663?hash=item28100915a7:g:GTEAAOSwLnlWmiFT

hook the fork shape under the head and gently lever the clip out

you can see the fork being used on a white clip in one picture

the bulb holder comes out like any other rotate it and pull.

how hard is it to replace the reversing light bulbs? Thanks

Only one bulb required!! Why Lexus feel it is acceptable to only fit one reversing light and one fog light is beyond me. Even a Dacia Duster has two of each!! :megaangry:

The one I fitted is definitely brighter than the filament bulb it replaced.   Maybe 5w isnt powerful enough? I fiited a 7.5w and some were 20 and some 50W!!
