Recall

I know not quite a lexus brother in law had a letter for a recall today. Toyota Avensis 54 plate, hes had a stearing rack year before last. When i went on page for recall does

not state what its for. I wonder if its the airbag??

Could be, as it is not only Lexus issue, but almost every other make.

Yes i have friends with hondas and others that are been recalled. Some one on the forum wondered if they could take there car to toyota.

If its the air bag recall ,i may enquire my self toyota is on my doorstep.

Yes it's seems an industry wide recall through that airbag manufacturer.

I noticed in JLRs annual report that they had made a £166m provision for airbag recall in US.

I would assume Takata are not the most popular people in automotive right now😬

I checked with Lexus yesterday, there are two due on my car, fuel seal and airbag, although the dealers are waiting on instructions from Lexus on what has to be done for the airbag

Yes i had the fuel pressure seal done ,Lexus bradford. When i enquired about the air bag, did not know when it would be.

I may get cheeky and see if they can attach the plastic engine bay covers properly! OrnI believe they will do a free visual 'safey inspection'

Yes they do, leave room for about 5 gallons of petrol as well.
