Ja

I think it is actually more than that from new ,If you compare the price of a LS400 in 98 @ £52K it looks like the price as doubled in 18 years.

My first LS was a mark1 and that cost new £37K in 90 so they virtually double in price every 20 years.

.....  I think you'd be very hard pressed to find a single Ls of any size for sale at a Main Dealer in the UK  ........  I was reading on here somewhere that the very last Ls600 sold at a deep discount to 60k or so and that the Ls460 is totally discontinued as a stock car for sale  .......  it was about 78k if my memory serves me well.

I am confused by your statement Malcolm,Lexus Liverpool are offering new the Lexus 600h L Premier for a bargain starter price of  £99995.00 are you saying that the LS as a range is now unavailable in the UK?

oh ok, I was only saying what I had read, always happy to be corrected  ..............    Someone on here said about what he thought was the very last Ls600, a while back and I read on here too about the Ls460 now having being discontinued.

I bought my LS 430 from somebody who bought an LS 460 as a replacement . He owns multiple cars, and said to me he wanted first refusal if I ever sold. On each MOT anniversary I ring him and tell him how good the car is .Each time he asks me to sell, he is not happy with the 460 even though it is a great car . So I have a buyer lined up but I could never replace a vehicle in which I have complete confidence.

There is mention here about large bills for mercs. They are fine cars and I am not running them down at all but I have noticed with German cars generally at a point in time they have expensive service items that tends not to happen on Japanese to the same extent. Just my observation.

I do think there is something that gets into your blood with Lexus,

plus we are probably all nuts !!!

As it happens I bought mine from a guy who replaced it with an LS460.  He'd had it over 10 years and said the same thing, he prefers the 430, although he hasn't offered to buy it back, which is just as well because he can't have it!
