New to the forum, on the hunt for an IS-F

Good evening all,

Thought I'd sign up and have a look through the forum and get some ideas for my next car purchase.

On the hunt for an early IS-F (2008-2009) with low mileage in one of the darkish colours.

Currently own a 1994 Toyota Supra (running 400+ bhp) and a remapped Smart Roadster as the daily.

Looking for something a little more grown up that I can fit the kids in but can still put a smile on my face when out for a blast.

Living in Argyll in Scotland, home of the best roads ;)

Thats all for now, thanks

Gordon

How's your tan getting on rat?

Welcome

Im from the other side of Scotland just south of Edinburgh, spent 3yrs nr Helensburgh as a nuclear engineer though so know the area well.  All the actual colours are lovely and don't be put off by the car looking bland in photos, far more impressive in the flesh.

Dont get silver though, nothing says 'no imagination' like silver!ha

Hi Gordon, I think you've made a great choice! They are great cars straight out the box. If you are happy to modify it then coilovers will improve the ride quality and handling and a stainless exhaust is obligitory in my opinion 😊.

If you are struggling to find a car close to you I would recommend a car buying service like palmdale motors. I used them to find mine and they were great. It cost about a grand but they do all the searching, negotiating and inspections. They'll then deliver it to your door. They haggled  £700 off the price which covered most of their fee. They're also all car guys so they know what they're doing. It's not for everyone but it saved me a lot of hassle 🖒

Good luck anyway.
