Which Shampoo?

More cleaning questions from me,

I'm coming to the end of my Car Plan 'Wash &Triplewax' Shampoo, I got the 1litre bottle on special offer about a year ago for £2.99, I've been pretty happy with the results. Used to use it on my Primera, but does the Lex deserve better/fancy shampoo?

I've been looking meguairs Soft Gel and Gold Class, are these worth a fiver for half a litre compared the £8 for 5Litres of carplan stuff? I wash the car at least once a week (shes black), so would I see the benefit of the more expensive shampoo? I'm also planning on applying the Deep Crystal System soon, does the megauirs work well in combonation? waiting for Petes reply :whistling:

Any experiences with other makes and products? I'm looking to bulk buy (5Litres if the price is right). I was planning on setting up a poll, but wouldnt dont know all the shampoos on the market.

You kow the answers to the above :winky:

Shampoos are much the same really, doubt wether you'll find any difference.you get what you pay for in this world.

Gold class is the bizz, its easier to take off than any other polish i've used,as for combinations i would test an area first but usually you would'nt have a problem.

GOLD CLASS WAX.....

YES I'VE DONE ALL 3 STAGES THEN THE GOLD WAX........4 HOURS WORK

LOOKS THE NUTS THOUGH.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR BLACK CARS.

and Black Lexi are the bestest :D ... ONLY when they are clean and shiny :crying:

I read on the LOC detailing pages, its best to leave the 3 stage for 12 to 48 hours and then apply the next coat of wax, so that the first coat settles properly.

AMH thanks for the advice, I have tried any Autoglym, but from what I can gather is it that its in between carplan and meguairs.

Any one order off the meguairs site before? how long was delivary, my local stockist is 12miles away and out in the sticks, it will cost me more than the postage to go and buy it from there.
