New Rims :)

Purchased today from R-Tec, chrome 18's (ALBA Edge 700).

Quality looks pukka, i looked at a few other chrome rims and the finish looked a little bumpy, as if it was a very thin layer of chrome. Think mine are triple layered.

Walked in R-Tec, looked around for a few mins, talked to a chap about the chromes, he said he had a set in stock... an hour later the lex was sitting on 'em and i was £1495 shorter

Didn't even intend on buying anything, was just going for a browse :whistling:

Also, ive always told myself i'd never get chromes due to our crappy weather, oh well i'll just have to clean 'em every couple of days

Very nice mate :) I'd love a set like this but it would be too much hard work for me to keep them clean - how does the car look on these - any pics?

Raz - any particular polish to use mate?

Yep, with tyres :)

The guy at R-Tec said to wash them every couple of days, and to polish them a couple of times a week. He also said to watch out for small stone chips etc, which if left unattended, will eventually get bigger and the chrome will begin to flake off.

Hopefully we won't be seeing anymore of the gritters and salty roads!

I wouldn't say it's a must, but it'll certainly look better :)

Oh yeah, the chap said that if i do get any small stone chips etc, to cover the chip with clear nail varnish. Best get to Boots at the weekend LOL.

If my memory serves me correctly, you're a big doorman type bloke. Will be a funny sight watching you buy girly nail varnish in Boots.....
