Spark plugs replacement interval on RX450h 2011

Recommended Posts

I’ve an RX450h 2011 with 83k miles and don’t have record of the spark plugs ever been replaced. I was wondering what is the actual interval miles or years for this model?

I’d appreciate if someone could point me to the information about it. Thanks.

Hi Tom,

You should be able to find the answer here….

https://www.lexus.co.uk/owners/servicing-and-maintenance/vehicle-service/?lexReferrer=https%3A%2F%2Fr.search.yahoo.com#pricing

If you scroll down the page you’ll find the option to download each service guide and within these it lists everything for service and should tell you when the spark plugs need to be replaced on an RX

Hope that helps.

I am in the same suitation,  I did a big service this year with lexus 400 euro and they said to wait till 120k miles service to do the plugs unless a miss fire develops. 120k should be the second time they are done following the service schedule.

I will stick to what they say and putting some pennies away every month to get the 800 ready for the big one.

Lexus Cheltenham said I had to have have new plugs on age (6 years) even though the car had only just gone past 40K miles if I wanted my service book stamp.  Otherwise they want to change them earlier, at soon at 60K miles covered.  I think the plugs could probably go to 100K miles, particularly as they are not firing all the time.  However, if Lexus had not insisted on 6 years (60K miles) for the stamp, I would have let it go to 80K miles.

Thanks for all the replies.

It seems that the plugs are to be replaced every 60k/6 years. Interestingly in US Lexus specifies 120k miles for same. Looks that my car did not have those replaced even though it did not miss any service so far. I checked with both dealers and they have no record of plugs replacement. Online my-lexus page also does not say these were replaced. Should there be a specific record for this I wonder?
