Fitted Aftermarket iridium-tipped ones and if so is there any benefit with higher rating ones?

Yeah I fitted my HKS Super Fire ones today....really bought the car to life...the old ones actually looked a bit manky when I got them out...

Do you mean higher heat rating? Only required if you increase your engine bhp.

Denso iridium Power are the best ones to get. Stick with the stock heat rating.

Get them from the US. Lots for sale on eBay.com

Denso model IK20. I believe the HKS ones are just rebadged Denso

LOL.... :P Yes as you know Pete..I attempted to do it last night, but didn't have the right deep socket tool (10mm if anyone is interested)...went to the big 'H' to sort that out and fitted them during my lunch hour...so :P :P Used some copper grease to do the job properly!! B)

Colin...they have really made a difference to the engine with the S/C on board!!

The Plugs are made by Nippon Denso.

Always buy genuine plugs, cam belts filters etc.

I replaced mine with the HKS Superfire plugs going 1 rating colder than standard to avoid the slight fluffing I was getting under acceleration. Can't see any benefit to N/A cars. The plugs are indeed made by Denso and badged as HKS.

Thanks for the heads up fella's, just bought a set off eBay for less than £40 for the set - wish I'd realised last week as I just paid £100 during the service for the bog standard Denso Iridium's

That just leaves me to get the pre-cats removed then I think I've covered everything to get the car on it's way into shape :)

Yes mate, it says to let them know if you have 4, 6, or 8 plugs and they'll send you the relevant amount.

I've sent about 3 emails saying "Please send me the 6!" so hopefully I should be ok.

We'll see what happens when it turns up!

What did you get the Denso ones (IK20) or HKS?

The Denso IK20's. Didn't think it was worth paying the extra for the HKS brand name. Glad I saw the posts on here saying they were the same - thanks :)
