Hello Folks

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

Just a simple hello as i pick up my new to me 2018 (MY2019) Is300h from Lexus on M50 Dublin this week.  50k miles on the clock, full Lexus warranty etc. from main dealer.  - Black with Ivory Trim in Luxury spec, looking foeard to picking this up as i have a Jaguar XF i am trading in so looking to see how the fuel savings stack up given decrease in car size and move from the black pump to petrol/hybird.  One thing i find odd is the trim levels and trying to determine what I am supposed to have, example, told it has a premium Bluetooth sat nav system, however only 7inch screen i think!  it is loaded though with full electric seats, heated and vented seats, reverse camera and full parking senors.. loads more kit on board.    Questions,

  • does anyone know if i get the VIN number can i use the Lexus app to send directions to the sat nav?
  •  Also on VIN number can i see what the car was specced with when new?

Thanks and looking forward to many miles of trouble free driving...  😉

Hello Darren,

You can probably learn a lot more about your car by going to the lexus.co.uk website and registering at the ‘My Lexus’ page.

Incidentally, make sure you have all the Manuals when you pick it up.  They will come in very useful!

All the best with it.

To confuse matters more I believe what was included for a particular name of specification (like Luxury) was different between the UK and other Euro countries which I think included Ireland so be careful looking at any past specs and make sure that they were for Lexus in Ireland. However, whatever the spec, enjoy the car.

Hi Guys, @wharfhouse  - agreed, the spec rage is all over the place,  its a very well specced car to be fair, from memory and a test drive i have the below so far

  • Black with cream leather trim
  • front seats full electric with lumbar support
  • electric windows and mirrors
    • No AUTO on mirrors
  • Premium Sat Nav (7 inch screen i think) on rotary dial not mouse
  • Heated and vented front seats
  • Front and rear parking sensors with rear cam

Will post a photo on collection....  hoping for many miles of hassle free motoring.

Sat Nav with rotary dial isn't premium nav but the standard nav as I have that on mine along with the 7" screen

WOW - i did not think the car would be this good.  I read and watched many reviews before i took the plunge but on owning this for a few days only its amazing. From the cruise control and radar tech to the fuel economy (currently 5.1l/100km on normal commute) its just fabulous.  Mrs B also agrees its comfortable and easy to drive and we both did not expect so much EV range from the hybrid.  Our last hybrid was a Honda Civic from 2009 and it was pitiful to be honest.  Onwards and upwards but what a great start.

As far as I can remember, I registered on www.lexus-tech.eu with my VIN code and it returned the original vechicle spec to me. And where is the VIN number? It tells you where it is in the manual. And where can you get the manual? From the lexus-tech.eu web site of course 😉

... this should give you a start:

Enjoy your car - I'm still loving mine ❤️
