Most common cause is either a Lambda/O2 sensor that needs replacing, or else a leak in the exhaust system between the primary Catalyser and the downstream lambda sensor.
The leak lets air in which throws off the sensor leading to it believing that the Cat is dying, when there is nothing wrong with it.
What is/are the exact code(s)?

Yeah, Toyota/Lexus in their infinite wisdom decided to disable all kinds of stuff, including the VSC (Vehicle Stability Control which is a safety system!) when there is a slight deviation in the emissions of the vehicle. Stupidity incarnate, but it does motivate people to fix their emissions issues. Either that or else people fit lambda sensor eliminators and fool the system and continue driving around until their vehicle fails it's MOT on emissions.

Hi, I have a Lexus LS 460 SE-LA

Several warning lights stay on for weeks, then disappear but come back again. Had it plugged in a few times and it says cat 4 bank two faulty.

She drives fine but I cant use cruise control etc. Seems odd for cat to be gone if as she runs so well. Any ideas? a loose sensor perhaps?

Any help would be appreciated

What specifically is the error code?

If it is a cat efficiency error, those can be intermittent and it may not be an issue with the cat itself. It could be a small hole in the exhaust or the upstream sensor that is running that bank rich which fools the downstream sensor that the cat isn't working correctly.
