UX 250 stolen

Recommended Posts

Sorry to hear about your Lexus being stolen.

Unless you have a tracker installed then there is no way of tracing it apart from the police tracking it through ANPR.

Thieves would sometimes leave the car parked somewhere to check there is no tracker installed and come back after a few days. However, not a lot of people add trackers unless they have a very expensive car that are quite commonly stolen.

Only thing you can do is hope the police have found it.

Good luck Julia

Too late for you now but when you get it back or get a replacement, I would fit one of these trackers

It's £35 for the unit and about £60/year for the SIM. It gives live tracking data, history, zoning with alerts for if it moves in/out of a zone, alerts for movement, ignition on and other parameters and you can keep tabs on it either by using their website on a computer or using their app on your phone.

If the worst should happen again, after you get the alerts you can ring Plod and say (for example), "It's travelling north on the A6 doing 50mph and is currently at xyz location."

Good luck in getting it back.

Like Gordon says above if you had the lexus link app connected it will show the location of the car.

Will it show the location even if my UX trim doesn't include navi?
