Can you simply switch on the lights and look to see which one is dim?

Yeah. There's 2 bulbs in there. The one you need to change is the small one in the upper half.

You might need to remove or loosen the air filter box for access. (Or just buy the bulbs from Halfords and have them fit 'em for £10 or whatever)
