CT200h Heater stops working mid journey

Recommended Posts

I wonder if anyone else has had this problem. My 2013 CT 200H is brilliant, but one irritating issue has emerged over recent times. On longer journeys, the heater stops working after anything from half an hour to an hour or so and the interior gets cold.

After stopping and cooling down and starting again, it works fine again. I've booked it in for a check next week, but wonder if anyone else has had this problem so I can indicate to the garage what it might be as obviously when they get it, it'll be working fine!

On my Ls400 way back the issue, like you now have, was simply an air lock in the water system …… how you check that out and sort it on your car maybe another owner will emerge to advise !

Good luck

I would ask is the engine temperature stable, but I don't think you get a temp. gauge on the CT. Possibly a thermostat issue, or an air lock if you have had your coolant replaced recently.
