Sat Navigation update

Recommended Posts

Hello there since the uk is now enrolling slower speed limits from 30 mph to 20mph in most of the streets that i live at. and 40mph to 30 mph (excluding some roads such a dual carriage ways) I would like to know how to update the sat navigation of my 2012 Lexus RX450h as all of the streets that are 20mph are displayed as 30mph which makes it confusing for me sometimes.

So anyways i would like to know how to update the sat navigation to a modern one as i just checked it is a 2012 Navigation and i would like the newest one which might have these new speed limits.

Thank you

Buy a TomTom GO5200 preferably an older version which includes lifetime free map and other updates, free live traffic and speed cameras.  Sits on top of the dash so it's closer to your eyeliner as well.  You could probably get one for less than £100 on eBay.  I have had two for years and they work faultlessly.

Waze or Google maps don't seem to use much data..unless you need to run it all day, every day..I've done a few 10 HR. drives without making much of a dent

Hi Roland,

you can purchase a satnav update for your car from here….and just search for Lexus one the main page opens, I believe you need a Gen7 version update which, at £59.00, is quite competitive versus a main dealer doing it for you.

other members have used the site and confirmed how easy it is to use.

hope that helps.
