After what seems like a lifetime of waiting I get the new 200 SE manual next Friday 17/9.

This one is granite - I've moved away from black due to terrible chipping and swirl marks - is the grey likely to be better ?

Looking forward to switching from auto to manual but will miss cruise control.

Anyway . . the countdown has begun . . . .

yeah mate, i have a grey one and it works super! so far i have had no probs with chips marks etc but then i have only had it for 2 weeks :)

She's great when clean as you can see all the glitter type stuff in the paint when the sun catches it, but to be honest mine has swirl marks - don't think you can avoid them unless you wash the car properly in the first place?

Mine must have gone through a car wash for 3 years before I got it but it's moving in the right direction - if you do get any just get a rotary orbital buffer as that will make sorting out the marks a piece of cake!

As for chipping, you may get away with it a bit more as it would be difficult to tell them apart from the speckles if small, but big chips will be the same as you've got now. Don't think it matters what colour the car is, I think as long as you go for the darker car you will see the swirls if there are any there - it's just a case of catching it in the wrong light when you'll be able to see them.
