Hi Peeps

I am looking to put my VDO Dayton Sat Nav Display (fitted myself) into a Lexus Sat Nav console (one of your threads I have been reading has given me an idea).

At the moment, I have the screen bracket showing on top of a standard console and have to remove the screen when I leave the car.

It would be really cool if I could just fold the whole thing down !

Noticed a TRD tray on ebay but I assume that this is just to hold coins etc?

You and me both!! They are like rocking horse sh*t! You'd figure some Altezza owners with satnav would like to be rid of the screen that they can't use.. and to buy the bits of Lexus, is apparently over £400 (I have not confirmed this)

SteveAudioX did find a motorised screen that would sit inside the tray you spotted on eBay and have that OEM feel... there was a thread the other day whereby at least 5 of us expressed an interest in aquiring just the screen/mechanism...

I'll talk to my contact at Lexus Leicester to see if I can source just the casing (cheaply) so that an aftermarket screen can be fitted.

OK.....

Having spoke to Lexus I am told that the console comes in 6 seperate parts for the Sat Nav costing a total of £330.00. I can get the LOC Gold member discount as well (10/15%).

I doubt if I can get the price below £250, however, if I can enquire for a quantity (6-10 units), I may be able to strike a deal, but being Lexus, don't hold your breath!

If anyone is tentatively interested, let me know so I can build a list up and then negotiate with Lexus.

Hi Brett, they fitted a 7" Farenheit screen when a couple of guys did this in the US. I have a word doc they did showing how to put it together :)

OK...Sorry for the delay everyone, but after I got the prices from Lexus to change the console to accomodate a screen, I lost interest !!

They are looking at around £650 !! Not fitted.

Not a successful exercise me thinks :o
