Side Skirt Fitting

i got some side skirts for my is200. it now need fitting. how much would you pay or had paid to get them spray painted & fitted? i be going to a local car body shop not lexus dealer.

i never bought any bodykit/side skirts before so i dont want to get ripped off as being a first timer to these body kits.....

do you have the fitting kit ? are they lexus (toyota) side skirts ?

is not a lexus kit. is same one as upauto.co.uk that blue is200. is got no fitting kit or mounting points on the side skirts.

not sure how to fit them mate, all i know is that lexus (toyota) ones are easy to fit coz ive just done mine, sorry i carnt help, but someone might be along soon that can :)

Did you fit them using a fixing kit? or just stick them on and give em a few screws Gord?

Not all Lexus's have the mounting points under the car as i found out myself when fitting mine ;)

i used the toyota fixing kit that came with the skirts mate. :D 5 or 6 plastic clips to the underside of the car (per skirt) and the bolts that are there on the wheel arch + d/sided tape for along the bottom. :D

you only need the white plastic things that go under the car (try lexus) you can use d/sided tape + the screws in the arch that are there anyway, you dont have to drill any holes. :D

I had them and like i said there was nowhere to fix them too under the car,i've inspected a few IS's and for some reason some dont have them... :)

you have to cut a hole pete for the white plastic fitting thing, if you feel under the car where the skirts fit, its soft rubber and you cut a hole there (round hole) and you will find a round hole in the metal, then pop the plastic clip in. :D

if someone wants the plastic mounting pieces for under the car, they can go and take them of the Race Car

I also bought these as part of the Altezza full bodykit package. I took the kit to 7 - 8 bodyshops and most said that the fit was not really very good. Definetely no holes for the sideskirts to mount to. I ended up returning the full kit as I thought the skirts were not subtle enough when I saw them on the car and the front lip was lower then I expected. The rear bumper skirt I did like however.

I'd say look at around £200 - £250 to have them painted and fitted.
