Eibach Confusion

got this reply off eibach today from an email i sent

If your vehicle is USA / Japanese spec we do a kit for it. 4 off lowers

/ up rated springs. Part number 8241-140A. The price is £166.03 + vat

for the kit.

Unfortunately if it is European spec, we do not have anything available.

however i know some of you on here have eibach springs fitted so i am slightly confused is there any real diference

I think it maybe to do with the certification requirements, nothing to do with the actual fit of the springs on euro models

but I could be wrong

i had a look on the german google and couldnt find a site that had eibach is200 springs so i assume it is a certification issue?

loads of people here have them and no one has had any probs, the pricing seems correct also.

the reason that Eibach wont sell to you in Europe is the fact that TTE have the rights to the springs in Europe.

Eibach makes the springs for TTE

price war between the traders maybe,thats up to them - im just saying that for the TTE branded kit u can get it from prolex, for the eibach kit u get that from tdi.

oh u made me think about a few things and i was looking at the eibach site and it quite clearly lists the is200 and gives u the kit number, also the same on the german site so i think the person u spoke to at eibach might have got confused.

also they do have TUV certification ( cert downloadable on site) so they must sell them as eibach in germany also.

think eibach is a german company anyhow and i have made my enquiry now just waiting for the reply :D
