I have just watched this happen:

Five mins ago just driving back home, the lights just ahead of me changed to amber, an 03 plate blue Pug passes through on amber. I'm first up at the lights. Just 50m past the junction the Pug pulls an emergency stop and two uniformed cops leap out...

why?

Walking downhill in my direction is a young white guy wearing a black hoodie with the hood pulled up. He clocks the cops who have jumped out and runs like his life depends on it down the nearest side road. 30 secs later the area the whole place is crawling with marked and unmarked cars and police everywhere. Dunno if they captured him, might be on the local news this evening.

whoa, the cops are already enforcing this "no hoody" thing, and taking it seriously by the sounds of it...

I doubt it will be on the news mate .............. this kind of thing happens everyday ....... day in day out ............

Only when I chase people ... they usually get caught :shutit:

A close line .... or a head lock usually does the trick ;)

imagine a scenario where a group of youths is hanging on a street corner dressed in their chav clothes...............would you fell intimidated, unsafe and move to avoid them? Course you would.

I wouldn't as it would give them the impression that they rule society, and to be honest if you do that i think it shows weakness on your part, though i can see how the elderly/young mums would think this way.

As long as they dont bother me/family/people i know, i wont bother them.

i`d love to be able to get some of those rose tints you`ve got :D

i`m a sizeable fella, 6ft, 15 st, partly psychotic, but what about the chap in the news the past couple of days whose in hospital fighting for his life?

all it takes is a bit of false bravado in front of chav mates and a concealed knife, and it won`t matter how big you are. I`m sure SF will be able to supply real statistics of increasing assault with weapons, and basically violent crime on the increase.
