Elec Pwd/snow Switch?

Hi,

I bought a IS200 few weeks ago, and still learning all the gadgets in the car,

now what is this 2 buttons besides the gear switching? one says snw, stands for

snow I imagine, and the other I remember is Pwd, and when u press it down,

the Electr pwd lights on, so what does it do?

It's just like on over drive system ........... a "sport" mode.

IE ........ yours gears rev out longer before changing up.

And it will hold each gear for longer ............ :D

Also with pwr on with the Autobox,it should be Keener to downshift under part throttle.

Those two buttons are only available on the auto box ............ :blush:

Just make sure you hit the right one. When I first got my car I hit the wrong one when attempting a quick entry onto a dual carriageway - very embarassing :crybaby:

so which means it's better to leave it on i presume?

I think the snow switch cuts out first gear so you are not putting as much welly to the wheels when starting off.

Or even third or forth gear.Another car i owned a while back had a 4 speed auto,which when in winter mode would select 3 gear to pull away in,it was fun to show friends when they asked about the winter button when in the car,it would do 0 to 128mph before changing gear for the first time into 4th gear,agreed not very quick off the line in dry weather but fun,on a private road of course.
