Home Made Induction Kit - Possible?

Recommended Posts

I had an idea today about making my own induction kit, as I don't have enough money to buy the greddy/trust kit. Also, I find it quite hard to stomach the price tag and only getting the filter and a bit of pipe. So, I thought i would try to make one my self using two straight pieces of pipe, an Apexi filter and a 90 degree and a 45 degree samco hose joiner.

Any Ideas?

its definitely possible and a few members have made their own already, if you do a search you should be able to find some details on the homemade induction kits with pictures.

A few people have had a go.. you could run a search.

But do you really want to stick £10 of pipe and foam onto ur 20k motor? Each to their own but I dont think you should cheapen a lex by putting inferior products on it. Only 'the Good to the Best' products will do for my baby.

And remember its a lex not a saxo, no cheap bargins exsist!! (i discovered this within a 1 month of ownership)

have a look here

and here

and here

i modified a mk2 gs induction kit to make mine but then i had access to a machine shop and used aero grade ally and to be honest pipe wise the components can be bought for about £5-10 its the development you are paying for and the brand

Ive just spent so much recently on parts, I don't see why I need to spend another wad of cash on an induction kit that I could quite easily replicate myself. I like a challenge anyway. :D

Oh, and thanks for the ideas guys.
