Uprated Torque Convertor

Hello AGAIN!

I've been going through PowerHouse Racing's website and came across their Torque Convertor with a stall speed of 4,000 rpm. Would it be a worthwhile upgrade for the stock gearbox? Or would I be better off just getting a WHOLE NEW gearbox from Boostlogic?

Just curious,

Thanks,

Mitul.

I think standard stall is something like 1800rpm. 4000rpm is pretty high, though I know of someone with a Supra running a 3800 t/c, and he says it's fine in everyday driving, though it's very easy to spin up the rears, and it does feel like the you're driving around with a slipping clutch.

Standard stall on a GS430 is around 1800-2000 and a GS300 is around 2600-2800. Not sure on a TT though. 1800 seems a bit low. I think 2800 should be good for a TT.

lot of US GS owners have a dragon TC, this has a 2800 stall speed.

it gets excellent reviews - the guys with it fitted absolutely love it

L-TunedParts has it tell Steve you came from LOC ;)

Are we sure it'll fit the V300 'box?

These are designed for use with engines that have large turbocharger/s fitted (where the boost comes in at a higher rpm).

Using the standard t/c with larger turbo/s makes the car very lazy off the line.
