F1 Proposal

Recommended Posts

Seems Max Mosley likes the new RX Hybrid because its one of his proposals to bring back overtaking in F1.

He wants F1 cars to run a kind of hybrid system and use the stored energy as a boost for overtaking.

What do you think? It will certainly push the hybrid tech forward....

why not just let the guys run flat bottoms again so that their front end aerodynamics dont get messed up when they're following closely. This in turn will help decrease overall speeds due to more drag and while we're at it toss those dam grooved tires and go back to slicks...

mosley has done a good job in the past for the FIA, he should now bugger off and hand the reigns over to someone else. It looks like the more rule changes will come, and this is just case of the FIA saying we do want technology, after saying scrap it!

On the plus side i do think it is a good idea and get lots more research done on it so I am for it.

This is proposed for 2007 I think.

Much less downforce and more mechanical grip (i.e. wide slicks)

There was interview with Mosley at the weekend where he said as much.
