Hot Auto Transmittion

hi, have any auto is200 owner have the same experience when driving in summer whether or driving long distance, the center console become very hot making your left leg burning.

is this because of the auto transmittion or the engine?

will installing a transmittion oil cooler help?

Mine does the same. I've always put it down to "normal operation" of the auto transmission. Hope I don't hear otherwise

I take it the oil level is OK, also you may want to check for deposits within the oil when you check the level to make sure that the oil is not clogging up any filters within the transmission, mine has an intercooler for the transmission oil and when at a stand-still for a length of time, the intercooler is a bit warm but the centre console is alway cool to touch.
