Recommended Posts

I originally posted this in audio video, but the title a bit stupid. Dont think anyone read it :( First this is where i mounted the fuse for the constant on

this is where the wiring went through the fire wall

This is the lovely shiney amp (and my mate taking the photo :) ) this will be all you can see of the modifications from the boot when i've finished beautifying it

img15014le.jpg

Another angle of the boot showing how much the sub takes up, you can also see a bit of the bottom of the new 6x9's and one of the 6x9's crossovers

This is a close up of the sub through the arm rest, i am thinking of some form of speaker cover to tidy all of that area up, not sure what yet tho, maybe a chromed metal piece with Lexus lasered into it. Need advice here

And another

One more

This is the head unit and my control for the sony ericsson Bluetooth head unit. This is probably a temparary setup from my old car, I am looking into a kenwood ddx-725 at the moment but they are pretty costly.

And this angle

Could some of you photoshop wizzards mock up a speaker guard covering the bottom of the armrest hole up, i will be looking into it too, but im thinking chrome metal of some form.

Watcha think so far?

He has a Sport..a 1999 or early 2000 model looking from the pics.  :D

Chris - your car really did look stunning at Trax ;)

Yep early 2000 sport in plat ice. I need some touch up paint for the steering wheel :)

The head unit swap was a bit of a bugger.

New speakers all round, and mdf mounts for them to make em fit, run new wires for the speakers to the front, these wires attatch to the standard iso loom plug i put in, split off the 12v constant ignition and earth and attatched those to the iso plug too. that way if i need to i can replace everything in the car without re-soldering any cut wires.

Took about 8 hours for the head unit and speaker swap total.
