Anyone Upgraded Just The Drive Pulley With Sc?

Sorry a bit off topic I know, just didn't think it was worth posting a new thread. You got your car back today aido? saw it round the back of our lexus dealer when i took mine in to be checked over and get some parts ordered. Looking like a nice motor, love the wheels, exhausts are a little big for my liking, but still was impressive to see a nicely modified IS200. Does the supercharger make much difference to the performance of the engine?

The supercharger does make a good difference to the standard IS but it's still lacking when you get used to it, not as nice as the bigger engined cars like the 430's etc :lol:

Had to have the brakes bled as they were dodgy, that was sorted, as said above the 790 didn't fit so I'll get an 800 from somewhere else, the other place didn't have those!

Shame I didn't see you pal, maybe next time :)

How nice is Louise though?! Looking forward to going back :lol:

I found a link with some more details of what is needed and cost etc, to be honest this is why I'm abandoning the IS200, needs too much money now at the stage I'm at to get much more from it without going down turbo route etc etc, and i'm not doing that in a 200 :crying:

With those mods and a manifold I guess you would be looking at similar output from a supercharger to that you get with the turbo kit!

Thats very interesting...........I thought the tdi pully upgrade with cat back zorst & manifold etc was 270 bhp. This looks like its only 230 bhp (OEM manifold fitted but with HKS FCON S ECU fitted rather than dastek ECU)

i think u can get a 790 belt on, just totally remove the tensioner, but the belt on then install the tensioner, even with the standard belt if the tensioner is on it doesnt go on too easily, with the tensioner off it just slides on.

mines running a 790 right now.

and it still slips between 5000-6000rpm :tsktsk:
