Occasional Dodgy Starting

Got in the car after work Yesterday - it had been peeing it down Yesterday BTW.

Tried to start the reliable Japanese engine :D and it just continuosly turned over, hiccupped a few times where it tried to start and then started on the third "hiccup".

Anybody else get this ? It's happened to me about 3 times since I bought the car (second hand) back in Jan this year, so it's not like an everyday occurence.

before u start the car just press the accelerator all the way down then release - starts first time, can also be the first signs of the Battery on the way out

SNAP!! I get this too. Happened to me once this week and I have had it before too. Hardly ever in the summer.

90% of the time it starts up first time. Its just these odd occasions :o

Yeah, funny enough it did seem okay during the Summer months.

I had that on the IS a while back before I was a LOC'er. I re-set the ECU and the problem went.

I've already killed two batteries so my ECU has been reset a few times! Still happens occasionnally. Its no big deal but it usually happens at the most embarrising times!
