Buying A Is200

Can any one help me out, I am just about to purchase a IS200, I`ve got £10,000 cash and a 1999 Bravo HGt to trade in, what is any acceptable mileage? Most I`ve seen have around 70k on the clock, when are the costly services due?

I will try to buy from a Lexus dealer but will they want the HGT?

When I bought mine they were willing to do a trade-in with my old car. But bear in mind you will not get a very good price. You will get more selling privately, but its obviously up to you if want the hassle or not.

when you do a test drive, ask to see the service history - not the log book but what they have stored on the computer - that will list everything it has been in the garage for any probs etc etc - but the main point is also to check that the gearbox change from 1st to second is ok!
