I would like to know if is it possible to set wider tyres (225) in the 17 x 7 original wheels.

And what about the profile, should it be 40 or the same 45 than the 215/45/17,

and another question of the speed rating, should it be also Zr, or may it be WR?

The only bit I can answer is the 225 bit. Yes, you should be able to have a 225/40/17 tyre on your wheel - I done it on my veedub.

Yes you can - I have 225/45/17 on mine.

I'd stick to the 45s - the difference in rolling radius between 215 and 225 is tiny.

For speed rating I think you should stick to manufacturers recommended fitment (for insurance purposes).

should be no probs with that size, i have them on my standard rims, i would stick to the 45 aswell

On my 200Sx I had 225/45 on 17"x7" at the rear axle.

on the front axle 215/45.

It's the same size as on a 300sx, but the 300sx has on the rear 17"x 7,5" Rims.

225 is the max on 7" wide rims.

The size 225/45 givs the same speedometer reading as the original 205/55 16".
