Feeding Wires

Recommended Posts

I'm sure this has been said before but just spent 45mins looking throuigh search results and nothing of any use. I am trying to find a place to feed a live and neg cable from the Battery into the cabin. Has anyone got any pics of the gromment i should use to get them through and how I should get them through, they look sealed.

Cheers

Lee.

Lift the Battery out and you will see the loom going in down behind the Battery. You should be able feed them through there. The only problem is getting them on the other side as if I remember right you can't get at that rubber bung through the glove box. You will have to stick your head under the glove box/ dash and find the wires coming through.

The other way to do it put a wire coat hanger from the cabin side through to the engine bay then tape the wires to the hanger and pull them back through.

:-)

ah brilliant, cheers for that, I usually use a length of that flexible stuff for hanging nets.

Fingers crossed PC should be in and running tonight. :)

yes it is the only grommet that is behind the Battery - just make a hole in it and push the cable thru, stick about 1m thru and then u should be able to find it inside the cabin - remove the glovebox if need be - make sure to reseal the grommet where u have made the hole -- i wont patronise you by telling u how to make a hole as I am sure you can work that one out.
