Front Bumber/airdam Repaint

Hi guys.

At some point I wanna get it resprayed due to stone chips. I presume some must have had it done already. My IS is Plat Ice. How much roughly am I looking at ? Thanks :)

oof... Could be worse I guess, but when u think they are only limited by the time it takes to dry the paint, I'd say about an hour's work to paint/laquer it...tututut

unfortunately, its the old problem of 'its not the part that costs ya, its the labour'!!!

most paint jobs are 3 part, prime, base, lacquer....thats where ya money goes!!

if you got a pearlescent finish to your paint, its even more wonga....trust me, i found that one out!!!

I thought there was some place with two brothers near Hanger Lane in London that did paintjobs at really good rates. Supposedly much cheaper than the £300 mentioned in this thread. I think Niraj or Parthiban know of them?

Yeah i remember something being mentioned. It wont be a lot cheaper than £300. PM Niraj or partiban Lord Ripper they will be able to pass on the details.

I had my rear bumber done and that was £120. Id expect the front to be a little more but £300 seems alot.

That's a bit much, it wasn't me that used the guys by Hangar Lane, think it was Niraj, but I got quoted approx £200 to have my front bumper resprayed at Lexus Woodford........

Would've thought independents would be much cheaper........

Interesting - I have used them before for my previous 2 cars when people damaged them. I just thought that they might try to take the mick cos it's a Lexus. If they do it at that price I hope they do the same kinda juob i.e. same amount of coats. I was pleased with their work before but not on my lovely Lexus and in such a prominant position.

Good to know that they're good enough for me to hear aout them from those who don't live in the area :)
