Is200 Dashboard 'space'

Recommended Posts

I've been toying with the idea of getting a sat nav either Tom Tom or Navman and want to sit it in the 'space' above the air vents (i think its for the Lexus fitted sat nav) does anyone know what that part of dashboard area is like to remove to hide the wiring for it? Is it easy to do because i'd hate to ruin the dash? Thanks for any help & advice...

The top part of the dash is easy to remove.

I have done, the same thing that you want to do.

To remove the top dash, slide smething thin between the top panel and the panel that the vents sit in, and very carefully, lever the 2 apart, the clips will pop apart, then you just have to pull the top panel towards you, diconectting it from the vents.

I cannot be held responsible if you break or damage any parts.

Nothing to it!! Even managed to get the wire from the lighter to the sat nav through with no problem at all, just a little bit of fiddling, easy.
