Lexus Bristol

Afternoon all!

I don't know if this is the norm or not but it really impressed me.

There I was minding my own business in the office yesterday when my mobile rings. It was a nice bloke from Lexus Bristol, Melvin. "Fancy a test drive Sir?" he asked. I was confused to say the least. I haven't spoken to the bloke before, nor shown any particular interest in buying a new Lexus. Still I was a bit pushed for time so I gratefully declined, however this didn't present a problem to Melvin, oh no. He then asked me two questions, 1) what was I doing Saturday. I first thought this was a chat up line so told him was busy with the girlfriend doing a bit of running around. 2) what Lexus would I like. IS300 Sportscross I said, next thing I know I'm booked in to pick up a brand new IS300 at 10 am Saturday morning fully polished and gleaming & loaded with a full tank of fuel. So when did Lexus Bristol want there brand new car back, whenever was Melvins response, late Saturday evening or sunday morning was fine.

So in short they are going to give a 23 year old yahoo a brand new IS300 just for something to do!!

What an excellent franchise they are!!

Im at lexus Bristol now im on their comp, well I on the toyota sides com but Im having work done on a lexus.

Is this where you wish you'd said SC430 Spike! Still the IS300 is good fun to play with if your used to the 200.

When I was looking to buy an IS200 I spotted one at Lexus Bristol and as my son was visiting friends in Bristol I asked him to call in to have a look at it as we live in Sheffield.

On arrival my son and his wife were given the customary coffee and shown around the IS200.

After 30 mins the new Lexus Bristol centre manager Stewart Gudge, asked my son who is 25 if he would like to take an SC430 out for the afternoon with full tank of fuel as it was just standing on the forcourt and that was not the place for such a car.

What a result as you can imagine two 25 year olds swanning around and around Bristol in a £50k car. The bloke had never met my son in his life and the car he left at Bristol while he was in the SC was only an Avensis.

wow sounds good guys especially the SC though............

now i wonder if this 20yr old will get a call from lexus staffordshire asking if he wants to take a SC or IS300 or even GS sport out for the day......... better get off the net and free the phone line

Yea think I should have gone for the SC430, however I'm certainly more serious about buying an IS300 than an SC so might be just aswell!!
