ive had new disks installed and new pads installed but there is a vibration whenever i use them .( groved )

is this just because they are new or have they been installed wrong ?

If you didn't have vibration on the old units then there must be a problem with the product or installation.

Can you clarify "vibration"?

If the disk has been fitted with dirt or whatever trapped between its location face and wheel hub then this will usually give a vibration in synch with each revolution of the wheel - about every 2m or so of road distance travelled!

If the caliper or pad has not been fitted aligned with the disc this may set up a faster vibration - a wedge/loosen scenario similar to what you get when you push you finger across a smooth dry surface.

If it's the latter the pads may bed in - if it's the disc fitting - don't hold your breath while waiting for things to get better!

Hope this helps?

I have grooved discs fitted to my Lex, I had no vibration when driving...All i got was a grinding noise which went after about 50 miles (handbrake pads bedding in i was told)

Could it be that when the wheels were put back onto the carthe rears may have been put on the front so out of balance? are all your wheel nuts tight?
