Is300 Hid Headlamps

hey guys,

U propbably guessed by now, ive the got the “Ebay bug”!

Found some Complete headlight units for a US IS300, costing $200-300 (auction still on).

Was thinking to bid for them and replace my current headlight units with these HID ones.

BUT would they fit, would i be able to easily swap my IS200 ones for the HID ones? These also have the clear side indicators…. which look v good :D :D

i guess as long as you change the direction (if you need to do that with HID) then i guess they would be fine

You would also need to have the ballast/ignitor box to make the HID's work, so check it comes with this. Its not just a case of wiring the existing headlamp feed to a HID lamp. Also, legally, you should have an auto light levelling system fitted with HID's but it is up to you wether you fit one.......

I thought the LHD lights were different as they point to the right so as not to dazzle people coming towards you. I assume they came of a LHD car.

Yep..from a LHD IS300. I think its not worth the hassel, cos they dont come with ballast/ignitor box either!! Just gona settle with some Phillips Blue vision bulbs for now.

It says that the ballasts/ecu's are included with this auction, so it might be worth a look......

I am unsure if they can be adjusted to dip to the left for UK cars though???

I wonder if part number gurus Chris or Gordy can find out if the LHD and RHD HID units have the same part number????? :D

If you want to install HIDS in your UK Lexus IS200, then you'll need a HID upgrade kit.

Wiring diagrams are inlcuded with these. Costs Approx £350.
