Front Driver Side Speakers

Lads!..

whats the speaker set up like in the front of the car?

There is one big one by your legs and i think there is a little tweeter by the wing mirror.

Im having problems with something round there.... i loose sound from that side, when listening to the radio or tape, the sound cuts out and i only get sound out of the left side, then trough no clear apparent reason, it would kick back in.... surely it cant be the actual speakers as im getting sound, the connectors? behind the speakers? behind the head unit?

anyone suffered this?

I hope not, however i do remember a night out when i was driving around, and my mate stuck his ipod in, and whacked the volume right up on the dash, starting playing the song, almost burst my ears, could that play a part in why this is happening?

Although i would have thought that, that would probably blow the speakers? no?

Hi there, i may have an amp for sale shortly when i get back i am planning on fitting an aftermarket head unit, if i do i will let you know. should be in the next month or so.

my front right speaker blew, and so i replaced it with a set of Hertz HSK165's with full sound deadening on the door and door skin and i haven't looked back. Best money i ever spent on my is.

The stock speakers are ****, get rid of them!

MY IS300 has no/intermittent left channel when playing any CD, but plays through both left and right speakers no problem using either the radio (inc ipod connection through aerial jack) or the tape deck.

I asked about it on here but no solution to date. suggests a failure between the CD and the rest of the stereo but there is nothing external I can find.

So I'd check all input your sources first before you accuse the speakers or speaker connectors, just in case.
