Phonebook List Greyed Out While Stationary

Sorry to ask another question.

I have sync'd some address book entries from my phone to the lexus phonebook and the names seem to appear on the list, but remain greyed out at all times. Anyone got any ideas how to fix or why.

I did find an earlier thread that said if you have spaces or other characters in the phone number field then you get the greyed out effect, but I have checked one of the numbers and it has no spaces or characters - neither is there more than one number in the name record.

Any help much appreciated - otherwise all my one touch dials will be just long lists of numbers that I will have to memorise.
